Towards the end of his first year at University, Jake worked with fellow students Jake Mayo and Lucas Warren to create a 3-act story for their VFX assignments.

Jake wrote and directed the first act which acted as homage and a parody of popular films and TV shows such as Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), The Matrix (1999), Pulp Fiction (1994), Kill Bill (2004) and Star Wars (1977).
